Troop Meeting - Planning for our 50 miler

Troop Meeting - Tonights meeting, Steven L finished Photograph merit badge by presenting a slide show presentation of photographs he had taken at Foster Falls. We spent the rest of the meeting planning for our summer camp this year which will be a 50 miler down the Collins River. We use Google Earth and a projector to plan out how far a day we will go and where we will camp. Scouts attending, Harrison H, Hayden P, Graham P, Cole M, Bryce C, Ethan H, Tyler T, Anthony H, Will G, Ethan G, and Steven L. Leaders there were Cody G, Jake M, and Adrian H. William H, and Jared K met at Gordon's.

Troop Meeting - Personal Fitnes MB

We worked on Personal Fitness Merit Badge again tonight. Scouts attending were Caleb F, Cole M, Steven L, Ethan G, Will G, Harrison H, John N, Hayden P, James S, Graham P, Tyler T, and Ethan H. Tonight we met at the stake center. We finished the physical pretest portion by doing pull-ups, flexibility test, and run/walk 1 mile (19 laps) Leaders were Jake, Mary Beth, and Nancy.

Troop Meeting - Personal Fitnes MB

We started Personal Fitness Merit Badge on December 2, 2009. Our merit badge counselor is Nancy Hale. Scouts attending were Steven L, Harrison H, Hayden P, John N, Graham P, Cole M, Ethan H, James S, Bryce C, Will G, Samuel G, Ethan G, and Tyler T. Leaders were Adrian and Jake. We started our the physical pretest doing Push-ups, Sit-ups, and measurements.

Tonight's troop meeting was spent planning for the upcoming 2010 year. Planned activities are on the side bar.

No Scout meeting tonight. We set up chairs in preparation for Stake Conference instead.

Personal Management - October 20, 2009 Led by Michael Weeter. Scouts attending were Hayden, Graham, Tyler, Harrison, Ethan H, Steven, Cole, Ethan G, James, Samuel, and Will G. Completed Personal Management requirements #4a, 4b, 4c, #5a, 5b, 5c, #6a, 6b, 6c, 6d, 6e, and #7a, 7b, 7c, 7d, 7e.

Personal Management - October 8, 2009 Instructed by Debbie Blocker. Scouts in attendance were Hayden, Harrison, Steven, Graham, Cole, Edgar, Tyler, Ethan H, Bryce, and Ryan. Other leaders in attendance were Adrian, Jake, and Travis.

Troop Meeting - Personal Management MB

September 23, 2009. Tonight we started Personal Management merit badge. This class was led by Sister Debbie Blocker. We completed requirement #3 and started requirements #1, #2, #8, #9, and #10. Requirement #2 is a 13 consecutive week assignment that should be started asap. Attending were Hayden P, Graham P, Steven L, Cole M, Tyler T, Stewart T, Kaleb T, and Harrison H.
The older patrol led by Gordon D. also met tonight. Attending were William H, Jared K, Bryce C, and Shawn W. They worked on automobile maintenence.

Troop Meeting - Fingerprinting

Tonight our scout meeting split into seperate patrols. The older patrol led by Gordon Durham consisted of William H, Jared K, Bryce C, and Shawn W.
The yonger patrol, led by Jake M and Adrian H consisted of Harrison H, Tyler T, Noah T, Graham P, Hayden P, Cole M, and Steven L. The younger patrol went to the Warren County Jail and earned fingerprinting merit badge. Sherriff Matheny facilitated in operation by assigning officers Kevin Holt and Ben ? to meet and instruct us the science of fingerprinting. We were all printed and instructed on some of the newer digital fingerprinting appliances available.

Troop Meeting - First Class #5

Tonight our troop was privledged to have guest speaker David Martalla speak to to us. Mr. Martalla is a local lawyer who was invited to speak to the troop about our constitutional rights and obligations as U.S. citizens. Attending were Samuel G, Ethan G, Will G, Ryan K, Shawn W, Harrison H, Hayden P, Jared K, Steven L, Graham P, Cole M, Bryce C, Noah T, and Tyler T. This night fullfilled First Class Requirement #5 for those who needed it.

Troop Meeting - 1st Class #2

Attending todays troop meeting was Duck, Ryan K, Samuel G, Ethan G, Will G, Harrison H, William H, Bryce C, Cole M, Steven L, Tyler T, Jared K, Hayden P, and Graham P. We learned how to indirectly measure both the height of an unknown object (flag and tree) and distance (sidewalk to sidewalk). We finished off the night by a refresher course on the Bow Line knot.

Court of Honor

Tonights court of Honor was planned and conducted by Bryce C. The videos for Citizenship in the Community were shown.
